HOUSE BLEND

A subtle but very noticeable variation on our espresso blend. Several years ago, when Ethiopia washed coffees were very hard to obtain, we tried using a naturally processed coffee from the same region. The natural processing imparts a fruitier taste, almost wine-like aroma. Delighted with the finished product we not only added it of our range of blends but made it our cafe house blend. 

Adding lighter, aromatic flavours to a house blend is beneficial because it creates a well-rounded, layered cup that is enjoyable over a longer drinking experience, appeals to a broader range of tastes, and highlights the unique qualities of the beans in a way that espresso’s intensity doesn’t always allow.
